Utah - Arizona - Mexico
May, 2000, Bruce was the Escort in Training for a tour with the Arizona Highways PhotoWorkshops. This group toured the Slot Canyons of Northern Arizona and Southern Utah with famed photographer LeRoy DeJolie. As a Navajo growing up on the Colorado Plateau, LeRoy learned this land from a boy's perspective. Now LeRoy is the only Native American photographing with a large format camera. His knowledge and perspective gave a wonderous edge to a great trip!

Taking the train from Williams, AZ to the Grand Canyon and back. An easy way to spend a day and see one of the wonders of the world. Got to hike a short way down Bright Angel Trail, to boot.
Did the best we could for mid-day photography.
We had just sold a business and need a break from the 60-hour weeks. A friend lent us a condo in Puerto Penasco (Rocky Point) Mexico. Good food, long beaches and a bit of off roading in northwestern Sonora state.
In October, 1999, Bruce took a tour with Arizona Highways PhotoScapes. This group toured the best of northern Arizona and a bit of southern Utah with famed photographer J. Peter Mortimer. Most of these images are those taken with the digital camera and slightly cropped (in some cases), but not edited or color adjusted. No filters were used. The lens image is roughly equivalent to a 35 mm lens on a 35 mm camera.
We covered about 1000 miles in five days. Some times we were not at a place with the perfect light, but we did the best we could when we were there.
